Cost factors
What Determines the Cost per Transfer
Your per-transfer rate reflects how your campaign is configured. We review each factor with you before quoting. For product details, see our mortgage live transfer leads, VA cash-out live transfers and mortgage refinance live transfers.
Mortgage Product
VA, FHA, conventional and HELOC programs, across purchase, refinance and cash-out, attract different borrowers and need different screening.
Geographic Targeting
The states you target affect pricing. State targeting is a campaign option, and not every program is available in every state.
Qualification Requirements
The criteria agreed for your campaign, such as existing loan type, estimated equity or credit requirements, shape how borrowers are screened.
Volume and Campaign Configuration
Expected volume, delivery schedule and campaign setup are part of every quote. Test campaigns and starting volumes are discussed individually.
Billing standard
Step 01
Borrower Inquiry
Most borrower leads come from online advertising campaigns we run. The homeowner asks about a mortgage product, such as a purchase, refinance, cash-out or HELOC.
Step 02
SMS Phone Verification
Most of our lead data goes through SMS phone verification, adding an additional check to the borrower contact information before outreach.
Step 03
Call-Center Qualification
Our call centers confirm the borrower's interest and check their answers against the qualification criteria agreed for your campaign.
Step 04
Exclusive Live Transfer
The qualified borrower is connected live to your designated team. Each transfer is sold to one mortgage company only.
Step 05
Requirement 1: Connected 90 Seconds
The live call between the borrower and your loan officer must stay connected for at least 90 seconds. This is the duration requirement.
Step 06
Requirement 2: Agreed Criteria Met
The transfer must also meet the qualification criteria agreed for your campaign. Both requirements must be met. Transfers that miss either one are handled through your credit or replacement terms.
90-second buffer
Understanding the 90-Second Buffer
The 90-second buffer is the duration requirement in our billing standard. It gives your loan officer time to start a real conversation before a transfer can count. On its own, it does not make a transfer billable: the transfer must also meet your agreed qualification criteria.
What the Buffer Measures
Whether the live call between the borrower and your loan officer stayed connected for at least 90 seconds. Shorter calls do not meet the duration requirement.
What the Buffer Doesn't Decide
A call that passes 90 seconds still has to match the qualification criteria agreed for your campaign. Both requirements apply to every billable transfer.
Exclusive delivery
Exclusive Live Transfers vs. Shared Internet Leads
Each lead is sold to one mortgage company, and we do not resell the same lead to multiple mortgage buyers. That is different from a shared internet lead, which is a borrower inquiry sold to more than one buyer, so several lenders may contact the same borrower.
Exclusive Live Transfer
A qualified borrower connected live to your loan officer. Sold to one mortgage company and not resold to other buyers.
Shared Internet Lead
A form submission sold to multiple buyers. Your team has to reach the borrower first, and other buyers may contact the same borrower.
Credits & replacements
Credits and Replacements
Transfers that don't meet both billing requirements are not billable. They are handled through the credit or replacement terms in your campaign agreement, which we review with you during setup.
When a Credit or Replacement Applies
A transfer disconnects before 90 seconds, or doesn't match the qualification criteria agreed for your campaign.
How Terms Are Set
Credit and replacement terms are part of each campaign agreement and are reviewed during setup, so they can differ between campaigns.
Buyer checklist
How to Compare Mortgage Lead Providers
Live transfer quotes are only comparable when you know what each one includes. Ask every provider, including us, these ten questions before comparing rates.
Delivery and Qualification
• Is each lead exclusive or shared? • What qualification criteria are checked? • How is borrower intent confirmed? • How does the live transfer process work? • Which campaign targeting options are available?
Billing and Transparency
• What is the minimum billable call duration? • How are missed or dropped calls handled? • What are the credit and replacement terms? • What reporting visibility do you provide? • How is pricing set, and what does it include?
Cost per funded loan
Measuring Cost per Funded Loan
Price per transfer is only part of the picture. Many lenders also track transfer acquisition cost per funded loan, using their own spend and funding data. The example below is illustrative only and is not an advertised price or performance claim.
The Formula
Transfer acquisition cost per funded loan = total spend on billable transfers ÷ number of funded loans attributed to those transfers.
Illustrative Example Only
Illustrative example only. These figures are not Highlimit Leads pricing, customer results, or expected conversion rates. Example: 100 billable transfers × $100 = $10,000. 5 funded loans → $10,000 ÷ 5 = $2,000 transfer acquisition cost per funded loan. Actual results vary.
Product considerations
Pricing Considerations by Mortgage Product
Each product changes who we advertise to and how borrowers are screened, which is why pricing is set per campaign. Availability varies by campaign and state. Learn more about Highlimit Leads.
VA Loans
VA purchase, refinance and cash-out campaigns. VA eligibility and approval are determined by your loan officers, not by the transfer.
FHA Loans
FHA purchase, refinance and cash-out campaigns, with criteria such as existing loan type or credit requirements agreed during setup.
Conventional Loans
Conventional purchase, refinance and cash-out campaigns, with criteria such as estimated property value, equity and geography set for each campaign.
HELOC
Home equity line of credit campaigns for homeowners interested in accessing equity, with criteria agreed during setup.
Purchase vs. Refinance
Purchase and refinance borrowers have different timelines and questions, so intent screening is configured per campaign.
Cash-Out vs. Rate-and-Term
Cash-out campaigns focus on accessing equity; rate-and-term campaigns focus on changing rate, payment or term.
FAQs
Live Transfer Pricing FAQs
Do you publish fixed prices for mortgage live transfers?
No. Pricing is per billable live transfer and is set during campaign setup based on your mortgage product, geographic targeting, qualification requirements, expected volume and campaign configuration.
Is pricing per lead, per call or per transfer?
Our standard offering is priced per billable live transfer, rather than per contact record or minute of call time. A transfer is billable when it meets both billing requirements: the 90-second connection and your agreed qualification criteria.
What makes a transfer billable?
A transfer is billable only when both requirements are met: the borrower stays connected with your loan officer for at least 90 seconds, and the transfer meets the qualification criteria agreed for your campaign.
Does a 90-second call automatically count as billable?
No. The 90-second buffer is only the duration requirement. The transfer must also meet the qualification criteria agreed for your campaign before it counts as billable.
What happens if a transfer doesn't meet our criteria?
It is not billable. Credits and replacements follow the terms in your campaign agreement, which we review with you during setup.
Are your live transfers exclusive?
Yes. Each lead is sold to one mortgage company and is not resold to multiple mortgage buyers.
Can we start with a test campaign?
Test campaigns and starting volumes are discussed individually during setup, based on your products, target states and qualification criteria.
Does pricing vary by state?
Geographic targeting is one of the factors that affects pricing. State targeting is a campaign option, and not every program is available in every state.
Which mortgage products can we buy transfers for?
Campaigns can include VA, FHA, conventional and HELOC programs across purchase, refinance and cash-out. Availability varies by campaign and state.
